Matkapuhelin modeemina

Hyvin keskeneräinen ohje. Toimii aluksi itselleni muistilistana. Kun saan homman toimimaan kunnolla teen kunnollisen ohjeen. Näillä asetuksilla olen saanut Kubuntu Edgyn nettiin käyttäen Nokia N70:tä Saunalahden liittymällä. Olen testannut homman toimivaksi sekä bluetoothin, että kännyn mukana tulleen usb-kaapelin kanssa.

• Parita ensin laite koneen kanssa

Mac-osoite ja Dial-Up:n kanava

Nämä pitää selvittää jotta voidaan käyttää oikeaa laitetta ja oikeaa palvelua.

Muokkataan /etc/bluetooth/rfcomm.conf -tiedostoa

/etc/ppp/peers/3g (Saunalahti) Tähän tuleee operaattori asetukset. Itse löysin googlaamalla aika munkilla toimivat asetukset Saunalahtea varten. Katso linkit.

Yhdistäminen

$ pon 3g

Ja sitten surffaamaan

Ctrl+C:llä voi katkaista yhteyden. Kännykän (Nokia N70) Connection mangerilla voi seurata yhteyden käyttöä. Näyttää mm. sen hetkiset down/up nopeudet ja siirretyn datamäärän.
